Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Josh Wildlife Photography safaris different from a normal safari?

Our safaris are designed around wildlife photography. We allow more time at sightings, choose locations with strong photographic opportunities, and plan the journey around light, wildlife behavior, landscapes, and the type of images you want to capture.

Do I need to be a professional photographer to join a Josh Wildlife Photography safari?

No. Our trips are suitable for beginners, enthusiasts, content creators, and experienced photographers. You can join with a professional camera, a compact camera, or even a smartphone.

Which country is best for wildlife photography: Tanzania or Kenya?

Both are excellent. Tanzania is famous for the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and the Great Migration, while Kenya offers outstanding photography in the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, and other wildlife areas.

What is the best time for wildlife photography in Tanzania?

Tanzania offers photography opportunities throughout the year. June to October is generally dry with excellent wildlife viewing, while January to March is especially interesting for the wildebeest calving season in the southern Serengeti.

Can I photograph the Great Migration with Josh Wildlife Photography?

Yes. We can design photography safaris around different stages of the Great Migration, including the calving season, Serengeti movement, and river-crossing periods.
